You should be aware, right at the start that, although you can be making money very quickly, this is likely to be a very small amount. This takes time, sometimes a lot of time to create a significant income. If you need a quick income, try something else.
Writing Online Articles - There are sites on the net where you can submit articles for publication. If accepted, the article appears linked to Adsense ads. The ads shown relate to the content of your article. You get paid 50% of the Adsense earnings - the host site takes the other 50% for every click on an ad from those the ads appearing around your article (this can be anything from one cent to $20 but might average about 30c). Obviously the article has to be ORIGINAL, interesting and informative to be accepted. Some people earn around $1,000 per month in this way but most earn much less. You may earn around $1 a day from each article so you have to do a LOT of good writing to make a significant income. However, once an article is written, the $1 a day just keeps coming in. So even if researching, writing and editing an article takes a couple of weeks, you get a small income virtually forever! There are several sites where you can sign up for this kind of 'writing for money' deal, the best known is Xomba. You stand little chance of earning even $1 a day unless you go through the training on the site you choose and use the tips on how others manage to create a 'writing for money' income. Another way to begin is to set up a mini site for free on a site called Squidoo. You are paid half of all income arising from ads on your site. Squidoo even provides lists of ideas that you might use. Take a look at some of the 'lenses', as these mini sites are called and give it a try. This is an excellent way of learning how to write for an online audience and how to attract traffic to a site. You will see ads on the net offering money for articles. These generally offer very low rates and you have to agree to surrender the copyright to the company that buys your article so that they can use it over and over again or even re-sell it. I would not recommend this way of writing for money, you have to produce a great deal of material for very little reward. Write E Books Everyone (including you) knows something of interest to others. This knowledge just needs to be written in reasonably good English and in an orderly and logical way to be a golden asset. Once written, all you have to do is find those who have a website related to your topic. For instance, if you have written an e-book on how to build great bird tables, you then look for websites about garden birds (there will be many thousands of them). Not everyone is going to be interested but some will - then arrange the split of profits between yourself and the site owner (usually about one third to him/her) - and away you go! You will need to ensure that each site owner agrees not to use your material and to respect your copyright. It might also be wise to set up a website to contain the material and to accept payment. In this way you will know which sites sent you the buyers and enable you to pay them.
Set Up a Website - The most profitable way of writing for money is to set up your own website. In this case, you take all of the advertising and other profit streams and have much greater control. If you can write lots of interesting and informative material on a specific subject (and almost all of us can) then setting up a website is certainly a way to write for money.
